Job Title: Quality Assurance Officer
Department: Quality Assurance
Reports to: GM
Main Function
The Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for the overall establishment, development, implementation and maintenance of the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Key Responsibilities
1. Establish, maintain and continuously improve the quality management system to comply with ISO 9001:2015 Standard and BRC.
2. Re-engineer the business processes to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
3. Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in all the departments and follow up on the implementation and success of all risk prevention actions.
4. Plan, perform, report to management periodic internal audits on all departments and follow up on their closure.
5. Escort external auditors during surveillance audits.
6. Report to management on the performance of the QMS (results of audits, nonconforming products, customer complaints, corrective actions…), including areas for improvement.
7. Prepare and conduct management review meetings.
8. Handle customer complaints.
9. Handle corrective action requests.
10. Ensure that all new staff are inducted into the requirements of the quality management system related to their own roles and responsibilities. Provide training as necessary.
11. Monitor and suggest key performance indicators for each area of responsibility and set department quality objectives.
12. Work with procurement department to establish quality requirements from external suppliers.
13. Perform spot-check audits on production department to ensure products’ conformance to customers’ requirements.
Job Requirements:
1. BS/BA in business administration or relevant field.
2. Certified internal auditor.
3. Proven experience in the quality assurance domain.
4. Good communication skills.
5. Analytical and problem-solving ability.
6. A keen eye for details and a result driven approach.
