The Medeli MZ528 is a large-format electronic drum set designed for drummers seeking an authentic acoustic feel combined with the versatility of digital performance. It features mesh drum heads, advanced dynamic response, and a professional-grade sound module, all working together to deliver a natural and expressive playing experience.
With its new Medeli sound engine, the MZ528 offers 408 high-quality drum and percussion sounds that produce a super natural and realistic listening sensation. Whether playing delicate rolls or hard hits, the dynamic recognition technology captures every nuance and accent, replicating the responsiveness and tone of a real acoustic drum. The module includes 30 preset drum kits, 10 user kits, 80 preset songs, and 5 user songs, allowing players to explore a wide range of musical styles with ease. Thanks to its 64-note polyphony, every sound blends seamlessly even during complex performances.
The setup includes a 10-inch dual-zone mesh snare, three 8-inch dual-zone mesh toms, a 10-inch crash cymbal with choke, a 12-inch ride cymbal with dual-zone and choke, and a 10-inch hi-hat with a continuous-type pedal. The 6-inch kick pad ensures precise response, while the kit also supports expandability with one additional tom and one extra crash input for drummers looking to grow their setup.
The MZ528 is also equipped with Medeli’s signature coaching features, including Quiet Count, Beat Check, and Change Up, along with a versatile metronome that ranges from 30 to 280 BPM. These built-in learning tools make it ideal for both beginners and experienced players who want to refine their timing and consistency.
Connectivity options include USB-MIDI, standard MIDI Out, headphone and aux-in jacks (both 1/8”), and stereo output jacks (2 × 1/4” mono). The drum module also allows you to adjust trigger parameters such as sensitivity, curve, crosstalk, and retrig cancel, and supports MIDI recording for convenient performance capture. It features an LCD display, DC 9V (500mA) power input, and a simple master volume control.
