Description
Oversee and manage a specific section of the kitchen (hot kitchen, pastry, grill, etc. )
Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all food items
Supervise and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants within the section
Maintain smooth workflow during service and ensure timely delivery of orders
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with management for replenishment
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients (FIFO)
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation at all times
Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP / ISO)
Inspect ingredients and finished dishes to ensure high quality
Minimize waste and contribute to cost control
Assist in training junior staff and improving team performance
Collaborate with other kitchen sections for efficient operations
Report any equipment issues or operational challenges to management
Support menu development and suggest improvements when needed
