الوصف
RARE, A remarkable piece of Lebanese social history — this original 1960 “Loterie Humanitaire de Charité” ticket was issued under Presidential Decree No. 1620 (April 14, 1950), officially authorized by the Lebanese government. Printed in Arabic and French, the ticket promoted a humanitarian cause: to fund the Humanitarian Institute in Beirut, dedicated to orphans and impoverished children of all faiths, teaching them crafts and providing basic education.
The design is both vivid and symbolic — it features:
A detailed illustration of the Humanitarian Institute building flying the Lebanese flag.
An image of a mother with her child, evoking compassion and charity.
Official stamps and validation marks, authenticating it as a genuine issued ticket (No. 021767).
This is not just an old lottery ticket — it is a cultural artifact from pre-civil-war Lebanon, reflecting an era of national solidarity and philanthropy. Printed in vibrant red, yellow, and green ink, it remains a visually stunning collectible for lovers of vintage Lebanese memorabilia, humanitarian history, and mid-20th-century print design.
