The image shows three banknotes from the first issue of Allied Military Currency (AMC) for France, printed in 1944.
These notes were printed to help restore the economy of war-torn France following the Allied landings on D-Day.
The banknotes are for 2, 5, and 10 francs.
The notes were printed by the Forbes Lithograph Corporation in Massachusetts, USA.
The reverse design is similar for the entire issue.
The notes were issued by the Allied Military Authority.
