Cashier Job Responsibilities
Handle customer payments accurately using cash, credit cards, or other payment methods.
Operate the POS system to process transactions efficiently.
Issue receipts, refunds, or exchanges when required.
Maintain the cash register and ensure correct cash balance at the beginning and end of the shift.
Provide friendly and professional customer service at the counter.
Answer customer questions regarding products, prices, and promotions.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth service during busy hours.
Report any payment discrepancies or system issues to the supervisor.
Follow company policies and procedures related to cash handling and customer service.
