Role Description The Travel Ticketing Agent is a full-time, on-site role based in Beirut - Ashrafieh. The agent is responsible for handling air ticket reservations, issuing, reissuing and refunding tickets, and managing booking changes in accordance with airline policies. Daily tasks include responding to customer inquiries, recommending travel itineraries. The role involves working with reservation and GDS systems, verifying travel documents, and ensuring all bookings are accurate and compliant. Compare carrier prices and supplier options to find the best value and schedule for clients.The agent is expected to provide courteous, efficient service, resolve customer issues, and support sales targets while maintaining detailed records of all transactions.
Qualifications
Strong ticket sales and general sales skills, with the ability to meet individual and team targets.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a client-focused and professional approach.
Proficiency in reservations and booking systems, including experience with GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus).
Attention to detail: High accuracy in entering names, passport numbers, dates, and fare codes to avoid costly reissue penalties.
Prior experience in a travel agency or airline ticketing environment is highly preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Beirut and collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners.
Basic knowledge of international travel regulations, fare rules, and visa requirements is an advantage.
Relevant diploma or degree in tourism, hospitality, business, or a related field is beneficial.
