Request to Hire Production Technical Designer / Draftsman
We are looking to hire an experienced Technical Designer / Production Draftsman for our event production activities.
The candidate should have practical experience in preparing accurate and detailed production drawings for event structures, custom installations, exhibition stands, stages, decorative elements, and event furniture.
Required experience and skills:
* Preparing detailed wood production drawings for CNC routing and fabrication.
* Preparing steel and metal fabrication drawings for laser cutting.
* Preparing technical drawings for welding, assembly, and installation.
* Detailing bent steel tubes, frames, supports, and custom metal structures.
* Preparing cutting lists, material lists, and Bills of Quantities.
* Understanding CNC machines, laser-cutting machines, and fabrication processes.
* Coordinating with carpenters, welders, CNC operators, painters, and the event production team.
* Reviewing designs and converting creative concepts into practical, safe, and production-ready solutions.
* Preparing assembly and installation drawings for use on event sites.
* Being available and willing to travel abroad for assignments lasting several months.
* Holding a valid passport and being ready to travel on short notice.
The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, with knowledge of CNC and related design, nesting, and manufacturing software. Experience with other 3D-modelling and production software will be considered an advantage.
Previous experience in event production, exhibition stands, stage design, temporary structures, custom fabrication, or fit-out production is required.
