Silver Islamic Ayyubid Derham Coin for Al-Adil I ( 1145 AD tk 1218 AD) was an Ayyubid Sultan of Egypt and Syria of Kurdish descent. From his laqab or honorific title Sayf ad-Din, he was known to the Crusaders as Saphadin, a name by which he is still called in the Western world. العادل سيف الدين أبو بكر أحمد بن أبي الشكر أيوب بن شاذي بن مروان، الملقب بـ الملك العادل أبو بكر، (538 هـ - 615 هـ) شقيق الملك الناصر صلاح الدين الأيوبي وأحد قادته في حملاته ضد الصليبيين في سوريا و فلسطين و مصر.
