Building on the success of their OctaMic II and OctaMic D preamp/converters, RME have introduced a new model called the OctaMic XTC. This latest variation shares the blue front panel of its siblings, but possesses far fewer physical controls. Instead, all of its parameters are adjusted with the aid of a bright, colour LCD, where menus and options are accessed very easily using two encoder knobs.
Plug into the RME OctaMic XTC preamp and AD/DA converter and you’re stepping up to a pro-quality front end for your studio setup. The RME OctaMic XTC packs reference-quality preamps plus eight balanced XLR inputs, four TRS line inputs, and four instrument inputs into its single-rackspace chassis. Premium converters give you stellar 192kHz resolution, while Clock Control, SyncCheck, QuickGain, AutoSet, and SteadyClock functions give you maximum control. Flexible digital connectivity means you can put this potent preamp to work in a wide range of studio applications.
