Description
The Restaurant Phone Operator is responsible for answering and managing incoming phone calls in a friendly and professional manner. This role requires effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. The operator will handle, take-out orders, inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate department or individual within the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
• Answer Incoming Calls: Greet callers warmly and handle their requests efficiently and accurately.
• Take Orders: Accurately take to-go orders, ensuring all details are captured, and relay them to the kitchen staff.
• Customer Inquiries: Provide information on menu items, restaurant hours, location, and other relevant details.
• Message Handling: Record and deliver messages to staff members promptly.
• Complaint Resolution: Address customer concerns or complaints with empathy and escalate issues to the appropriate manager if needed.
• Team Coordination: Communicate effectively with front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain Call Logs: Keep accurate records of call details and actions taken.
• Up-Sell and Cross-Sell: Promote specials and new menu items during calls.
• Assist with Other Duties: Provide support to other restaurant staff as needed, including hosting or customer service tasks during busy times.
