The following are the responsibilities :
1. Preparing Beverages
• Espresso-based drinks: Pulling shots, steaming milk, and crafting drinks like lattes, cappuccinos, and macchiatos.
• Other drinks: Teas, hot chocolate, smoothies, cold brews, frappes, or specialty beverages, depending on the menu.
• Consistency: Following recipes and presentation standards to ensure every drink tastes the same.
2. Customer Service
• Greeting customers warmly and taking orders.
• Answering questions about the menu (e. g. , explaining drink differences or suggesting options).
• Handling complaints politely and ensuring customer satisfaction.
3. Operating Equipment
• Using and operating espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and brewing tools.
• Monitoring equipment performance and reporting issues.
• Cleaning machines regularly to maintain flavor quality and hygiene.
4. Cash Handling & Sales
• Taking payments (cash, card, POS systems).
• Managing receipts, loyalty cards, or promotional offers.
• Upselling (e. g. , suggesting pastries with coffee )
5. Cleanliness & Organization
• Keeping the bar area tidy (wiping counters, restocking cups, utensils, and napkins).
• Washing pitchers, cups, and tools throughout the shift.
• Following food safety and hygiene standards.
