After the death of his father he shared the power with his two brothers Constantine II and Constans I. He had taken the power over the eastern part of the Roman empire , and his brothers Consantantine II and Constans I to the western part of the Roman Empire, and was sole ruler for the whole Roman empire from 353 to 361 AD.
