Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage daily financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and maintain compliance with local regulations. The role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently in a hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Daily Accounting Operations
Record and reconcile daily transactions (cash, bank, POS)
Monitor revenue from rooms, F&B, and other services
Handle accounts payable and receivable
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
2. Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
Generate periodic reports for management review
3. Cash & Bank Management
Perform daily cash counts and reconciliations
Reconcile bank statements
Monitor cash flow and liquidity
4. Payroll & Expenses
Prepare and process staff payroll
Track staff attendance, salaries, and benefits
Verify and process supplier invoices and payments
5. Compliance & Taxes
Coordinate with external auditors when needed
6. Inventory & Cost Control
Monitor inventory (especially F&B and housekeeping supplies)
Conduct periodic stock audits
Analyze cost of goods sold (COGS)
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2–5 years of experience (hospitality experience is a strong plus)
Experience with accounting software (e. g. , QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar)
Skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Excel
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Good communication skills (Arabic & English required, French is a plus)
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
Experience in a hotel or restaurant environment
Knowledge of POS systems and hotel PMS
Familiarity with Lebanese labor and tax systems
